Got for an honest review.Loving the Bears Shifter Games series. Hope to see more get added to the series. I thought the story was well written and the characters had very good chemistry. I loved the spots that made me smile, from the mud game part, and other shifter games. Marc and Sylvester happy ending. Hated to see it end.

Conquering the Bear is a continuation of a series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. We met Sylvester in the first book, and it was fun to have him starring in this second book. While participating in the shifter games, Sylvester meets and competes against Marc. Sylvester is very social and outgoing, but Marc is a reclusive billionaire working as a veterinarian. He has separated himself from his family and most people because he believes people are only interested in him due to his wealthy family. Add in Sylvester planning to move to Hong Kong six months after he meets Marc, and these two have many obstacles stacked against a relationship. Luckily, those obstacles and the action of the shifter games make for an exciting story.
Audrey Lusk does a good job with the narration. She has a smooth delivery and differentiates well between men and women. My only complaint is that when she is trying to show emotions, she is over the top, making the characters sound cartoon-like.

Wow!! My first MM story and it was sooooo good!! It was of course we'll written being an AJ, but I'm a little surprised at how much I enjoyed reading it. A love story is a love story, genders don't matter!!! And this was one of the sweetest stories ever!
So this is going to be the dreaded short review. Reason why its short I have two other reviews in the same series to write, an hour to do it and I will not be home tonight to write a longer review (taking my older two kids to a play The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe). So I apologize in advance to those who don’t like short reviews!!
I really enjoyed reading Conquering the Bear. As with Coaching the Bear, it was full of action, the shifter games, and some pretty hot sex.
I enjoyed seeing Marc and Sylvester’s relationship grow from competitors to friends to more during the course of the book. As competitors, they were the ultimate rivals and pushed each other during the game. As friends and lovers, they were sweet!!
I did feel for Marc. He was so shy and uncomfortable in social situations, it wasn’t even funny. I thought he might have anxiety but the reaction people gave when his last name was mentioned was self-explanatory.
The sex was hot, hot, hot!!!
I did like Lola’s way of setting them up. A romantic dinner and cleaning the house in a green speedo. The romantic date, I was like “Awwww” at but the speedo….I got the giggles.
I loved how the book ended up. I didn’t think it would happen!!!

Sylvester is excited to be moving to Hong Kong in just six months for his dream job. He's enjoying his time doing the shifter races. Mark isn't a social person, he much prefers his dogs. He is only doing this race to get Jadyn off his back. His last name gets too much attention, attention he doesn't want. He's the black sheep of the family, he tries to keep as much attention off of him as possible. So this race was a horrible idea. Especially since Jadyn is trying to get him to interact with others. Then he sees Sylvester with Jadyn. Mark is frozen, he wants to talk to this beautiful man, but he's too terrified he'll screw it up. As the races continue, the prizes seem to be putting him and Sylvester together more and more. Then he learns Sylvester is leaving. He's heartbroken. Sylvester doesn't know why he is even still doing the races, yes he does. It's so he can at least get to see Mark. They have to overcome their fears in order to see what really matters. This was a sweet story. I look forward to see who comes next in this series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
